Duplicate files, folders and photos waste space, time and energy EVERY DAY. Searching for files or photos can result in finding them in multiple locations and the more that happens the more confused we get. Having files in one location, tagged appropriately should result in easy access when needed.
I searched on google and found software called Duplicate File Finder by Ashisoft. Now I am not in the habit of recommending free software or any software for that matter but I downloaded and used it and it’s terrific, in fact so terrific, I’m buying the upgraded version which lets me perform a few extra optional tasks while deleting files.
The key to keeping up with files, folders and photos is to tag and file them as close to their creation as possible. That takes care of the here and the now. THEN, and only THEN, should you tackle the backlog.
If you would like step by step instructions for getting your photos in order, I have a great ebook called in8Snaps Organise your photos which may be just what you need.
So mastering your soft files may not be as difficult as you first thought with these two little helpers on your team. Good luck and let me know how you go by popping a note on facebook.
